| Choosing a Floor Plan
When choosing your log home floor plan it
is important to choose a floor plan that not only meets
your individual needs but also keeps in mind the property space,
natural landscape and if it will be marketable to future buyers
in the event that you choose to sell the house at some point in
the future.
Some considerations to keep in mind:
- That it's not too large for your budget, nor too small
for your needs.
- Enough bedrooms for the family.
- A well-planned kitchen that is large enough for your
needs
- A separate family room, if needed.
- Convenient placement of garage for your property.
- That your already acquired furniture will fit. (For
example, if you have a large wall unit, will it fit in the
plan's living room?)
- Does it have the amenities you want and can afford:
fireplace, decks, large master suite, cathedral ceilings,
just to name a few.
- Keep in mind that these floor plans are flexible. You
can have them reversed (that is, make the left side the
right side) to accommodate your property. And you can have
alterations made by Alta.
